So what is new?

A new hair style!

Mountain biking with the Snake River Mountain bike club. And I am not training for a marathon. I am training for two marathons and also a half marathon. Needless to say I am running alot!

Last Day at Targhee Snowboarding

Since we have been getting dumped on with rain and not seeing much sunlight. I have been having the urges to go skiing/snowboarding. Since there isn't any snow I thought I would post my last day on the hill.

A day I thought would never happen

Many of you know that I am a dye hard skiier. I have never seen the need to snowboard. Especially ever since I learned how to Telemark. But about seven months ago I got a job at an outdoor retail shop. It was there I fell in love, with a board. It is called the Ride Fever. I caught the Fever. I decided that it would make a great wall hanging or a head board. So I purchased it. While I had it on layaway I decided that I should learn how to ride a snowboard so I could justify purchasing my "piece of art". Two weeks ago I rented a board from the shop and went to Kelly Canyon with my Brother and Nephew. I had a blast!

Tough Decisions

Today was my day off. I couldn't decide what to do. Do I clean my apartment, do I go hike up Kelly Canyon and ski down or do I go and ski at the Ghee? I thought that the apartment will still be there and that the snow won't always be there. What if the snow was crappy this weekend and I missed out. So I headed up to Kelly Canyon, But the mountain was beckoning to me. I ended up at Targhee. I hung out on Blackfoot all day. I took a beating but it sure was fun. And yes I can always clean my apt tomorrow, or Wed, or Thurs, or maybe next Monday. No wait I'll be skiing. Oh well.

Change of plans

Plan foiled. It has come to my attention from my fire fighter investigator friend Cory that using an electric blanket as a mattress pad can and has caused fires. So I guess I am back to the drawing board. I will not be cold any more. I will have to go and purchase a real electric mattress pad. Since I don't have the luxuries that some of you have.

My bedroom in my apt gets so cold. I Have been wanting to get an electric mattress pad ever since I moved in. They are too expensive for my budget. So At first I would put my little heater up next to the bed (fire hazard) and dangle my feet over the edge and let the heat fill up the bed. But then in the middle of the night I would have to get up and turn it off. I decide to buy an electric blanket instead (alot cheaper). I got it home and had the most clever idea to put it under my mattress pad and wallah a heated mattress pad! It is heaven! Kind of like getting into a pile of towels fresh out of the dryer. What more could I ask for? ( yes a little sarcasim)

I got hungry

I got my dad a 5 gal bucket of his favorite ice cream for Christmas. To his surprise when he opened it someone had already had some!
